Janean was first taught to crochet from an elderly neighbor when she was 8 years old. Life moved on and crocheting was left behind. In the midst of a very stressful leadership job during the COVID pandemic, Janean turned to relearning crochet to help relax and find joy. She never put it down again- expanding her skills and enjoying every new challenge she could find. A teacher at heart, she now relishes in teaching others the art of crochet and designing patterns that support crocheters as they expand their skills.

Her YouTube channel is filled with short stitch tutorials, basic project walk throughs, and tips to identify beginner mistakes. Bonus: everything is posted both right handed and left handed!.
